Im going to dye my hair either dark brown or honey blonde, this is me:

I have the same colour hair as you then i went brown and it looked so crap i looked really pale and gross and you could still see the red through it. Then i went blonde and it looked a lot better. red heads take to blonde a lot better 
but don’t go fully blonde straight away. get streaks first then just increase them as time goes on
