What is the process used to color hair dark brown to bright red shiny?
My natural color is a medium to dark brown. A month ago, I had my hair colored a darker brown so that it looked almost black, with bright red highlights. It looked good for about a week, then the red lights on the sides and the top started fading and now they are gold. But the back is still bright red it started with. I thought I had my hair colored JUST THE RED. What process should be used to color dark brown — which is still dark to make any red —?
Now, if I understand you correctly, you want to go all red, and if so, then to really realize that, without an orange or look brassy you have to remove the brown of your hair, you can not really fry your hair, there are different stages of the exercise, talk to a professional lift your Brown and then use the red deposit only, which will not last that long, but is less harmful, or use a permanent higher level of color, and just so you know, red is the color most difficult to maintain, and washes it fades faster than any color it is, so use a shampoo and conditioner REALLY good color with sunscreen, my favorite is Rene Furterer Okara shampoo and conditioner, and also NanoWorks Pureology Color Care, google they are expensive but SOOOO worth it. My color does not come any more because I bought both, Rene feels good, Nano Pureology fills in your hair where it rises and continues to look very healthy, both are wonderful for keeping the color in, I just have dyed hair now, when roots are visible, and I do not have to put more color on color to refresh the color, it will not fade. I would certainly withdraw that turn brown, because you do not want to keep putting color on color, it will leave your hair feeling very rough and the cuticle is the mess, and she ended up leaving scratches on her head more and more to be colored, to be re-color, etc., instead of regularly look at color.
